I had a perfectish week. I completed all my workouts as planned and I stayed within my points. I was rewarded with a bit of weight loss. Overall I feel pretty good to get back on track, but it feels like something is missing. I’m a bit worried about camping next week and how that’s going to interfere with my routines, but I think I have an okay plan set up.
What Happened?
I completed all my workouts as planned. Coming off a rough week, this is a great win. It also sets me up for camping during the coming weekend which will require me to pivot things a bit. I stayed within Weight Watchers points and lost a bit of weight.
What Worked?
Thursday night I had my BEST bicycle training orientation so I pushed to complete those workouts Wednesday. Saturday I had the first BEST bicycle ride, it’s in a group so there’s not a lot of control of the time, distance and pace, but I rolled with what I had and it fit my predictions.
What Didn’t?
Everything worked out, but we’re starting to get hotter temperatures in the afternoon, the coming week we have highs up to 83 degrees in the afternoon which gives me a bit less flexibility in when to run and ride.
What am I going to do about it?
I’m adjusting my week a bit because I have camping coming up. During the week, I need to get in extra strength training (Friday and Saturday) plus a short bike ride just to make sure I’m in good shape for next Saturday’s training ride.
What do the numbers say?
I lost weight again this week, not as much as I had hoped, but still a sign of going the right direction. I did have a perfect workout week and ended up using almost all of my weekly WW points so I thought that might hurt a bit. I’m hoping to take off the Chicago weight and start making some solid progress again before summer hits and it’s harder to spend much time outside.
Summary
Not a great week, but a solid week. I completed workouts as planned, I stayed within Weight Watchers points and I did lose some weight. I’m hoping to restart a stronger downward trend in my weight because I know it’ll be hard to remain as active when the temperature comes up this summer.
